3-5-05 - Wow, has it really been 7 months since my last update?  No excuses, I'm just lazy.  Let's see...what have I done since then.  Oh, my brother and I built the rally car back in September of last year.  We did it in the 2 weeks leading up to the Colorado Cog Rally, and finished it the day of the race.  Really, we were putting the finishing touches (stickers, skid plate, etc.) on the car in the parking lot as the first cars out were already starting the rally.  Fortunately, we got it done, and actually finished the rally in one piece.  I won't even get into the place, but I'll just say that we made our goal of finishing our first event.  The cage looks pretty sweet.  I have some pics of it while we were building it, but I don't actually have any pics of it finished, even though it was 7 months ago.  Like I said, I'm lazy.  Anyway, we blew (err, actually, I blew) the head gasket in the stock engine a couple of months ago at an ice race.  Not bad, considering it had 206,000 miles on it.  So, my brother bought a 90 Integra that is donating its engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, etc.  We pulled the Civic engine last week and the Integra engine today, and we're just waiting on the motor mounts to come in so we can put the B18A into the Civic.  Finally some real power in the rally car.  We've got our first rallycross of the season next Sunday, so we've got to get the car running sometime this week.  Enough about the rally car.  I know that nearly everyone who checks this site out comes here for the 240, so I'll talk about it a bit.

Well, the brake pads that I talked about back in August...I finally installed them in December.  Yeah, I know, I'm lazy.  The bushings still aren't installed, but the tires and brakes are holding up great.  I went to Second Creek Raceway during on of their free days on either New Years Eve or Day, don't remember which it was.  Anyway, it was a blast.  Actually the first time I had driven on a real race track.  Only got passed by about 4 cars all day, and all of those cars deserved to pass me with the money that was in them.  It sure did feel nice sticking right to a Viper down the track.  He would pull a little (though not as much as his displacement would suggest) down the straights, and I would be right back on him in the corners.  Did I mention that the 300ZX brakes and Hawk HP+ pads work swell?  One thing that doesn't work well.  My stock cooling system.  It was only good for about 6 laps before I started getting hot.  Time for a bigger radiator, cause stock just doesn't cut it at the track.  What else?  I failed emissions, so that sucks.  I got another newer SAFC, so the old SAFC with the knobs is for sale.  Also have a 3" Magnaflow Cat sitting at the shop waiting for me to weld some flanges to it so it'll bolt up.  Need to pass emissions.  Oh, yeah...the shop.  I'm working at Slee Off Road now.  Convenient, since their our only "sponsor" with the rally car.  It's pretty cool, and I get to use the shop whenever I want, so that's nice.  Anyway, I know nobody is reading this, and I'm just rambling anyway so I'll stop now.  I'll get some new pics of some stuff up soon.  Or maybe I'll just be lazy and not update for another 7 months.  Either way, see you around.

8-12-04 - I've been working on the site some over the last few days to give it a little better look overall.  I also added some pics of the car, and of my clean (finally) engine bay here.  I also just got some new tires and an alignment to get ready for some more autocrossing and open track days.  I'm running Falken Ziex 512's in a 225/50/15.  I also have some Hawk HP+ front brake pads, and some Axxis Ultimate rear pads that are going in soon.  Soon to follow will be a complete set of Energy Suspension Polyurethane bushings, and a stainless steel clutch line.  Just have to get some time to put the stuff in.  A lot of time will be spent on the roll cage in the rally car in the coming weeks.  Also, I have a rallycross this Sunday, so my girlfriend is thinking I like cars more than I like her right now.  Stay tuned for more details.

7-28-04 - Well, the rally project is getting pretty serious.  Seats and harnesses are in, and my brother and I are starting on the roll cage as soon as the tubing gets here.  The plan is to be ready for the Cog Rally in September.  I went to a RallyCross on Sunday, and did pretty well until my last run.  I was leading G2 by about 8 seconds, then I hit a finish cone on my last run, and got a 30 second penalty.  That dropped me from 1st to 4th out of 8 cars in my class.  I added a page of pics from some RallyCross events here.  I also added some pics from Pikes Peak here.

5-27-04 - I have completely rewritten and redesigned the entire website.  I am also moving to a new web hosting service, because I kept running out of bandwidth on my old server.  About 90% of the new site is done, and I should have the rest finished soon.  I hope you enjoy.

5-18-04 - It is done...my car is finally turbocharged.  The car was down for about a week and a half while we made the intercooler piping, welded the manifold, ran the oil and water lines, etc.  Overall, I'm very happy with how everything turned out.  I'm just running 5psi right now until I can get the car on a dyno and tune it.  It already pulls pretty hard, but seems to have a few flat spots where it needs some tuning.  I threw up a quick page here with some pics we took during the build.

11-14-03 - Added S13 parts diagrams.

9-14-03 - I just got back from an unplanned trip to Virginia.  On September 5th, my father was killed in a motorcycle accident.  Please visit this page, and share in his memory.

8-29-03 - Updated the look of the front page.  I was getting tired of the plain look.  The background pic may only be temporary.  I can't decide if I like it yet.  Let me know what you guys think and sign my guestbook.

8-27-03 - Added a new page with a story and pictures from my first RallyCross in Colorado.  Check it out.

8-10-03 - Added a list of all the parts for the turbo project, including prices, and where I purchased them.  If only I had a list like this before I got started...

7-17-03 - Check out this blowout I had a couple of weeks ago.  I hit something in the road that made the tire lose pressure quickly.  The sidewalls on the Azenis are so stiff, I couldn't tell the tire was going flat for about a minute.  As soon as I could tell it was flat, I pulled over and stopped, but the tire kept going.  It rolled right down the interstate through traffic and everything.  There was already a wreck on the side of the road right before it, so all the police and firemen just watched this tire roll down the road.  It was the craziest thing.  Here's what happens when you drive 70 mph on a Falken Azenis for about a minute.

6-25-03 - I slightly redesigned the website today.  I added a new page with info about my car.  Eventually, Trick Motorsports will be a fully functioning business, but right now it is just a name and a dream.  For the time being, this site will simply be a site about my cars.  I hope you enjoy.
